From Cave to Calling
In 1 Samuel 22 : 1-5 , David enters the Cave of Adullam as a fugitive—wandering, just a sword, but directionless, misunderstood, hungry, and financially broken. As per the pervious chapters. Yet, in this place of isolation and distress, God begins a powerful transformation. David emerges from cave as a leader. He is surrounded by 400 followers, including his family and likely women and children. As we await the Second Coming of Christ. Our present trials are shaping us for the return of our King. 1. Transformation Requires Solitude and Surrender David’s cave gave a time of introspection—just as Moses had Mt. Sinai. In our spiritual walk, quiet places often become the birthplace of clarity and calling. Quite time is important. 2.
